This is a "sew much fun" quilt project to utilize those old pair of jeans that you are about to get rid of. You will love the beautiful combination of different shades of blue, feel free to also combine khaki or cargo pants for added variation.
Finished quilt measurements : 55 1/2" x 60 1/2"

WHAT YOU NEED TO MAKE THE UPCYCLED DENIM QUILT
FABRIC
For this quilt you will need various recycled denim fabrics enough to achieve the cutting instructions. Go through your closet and have fun finding those old jeans :).

This project called for minky fabric for the quilt backing. Minky will provide enough warmth thus skipping the need for batting to make the quilting much more manageable.

INTERFACING
Depending on the amount of stretch that your jeans might have (unfortunately most manufacturer nowadays add elastene/lycra to the denim fabric), you may or may not need to add interfacing to help stabilize your fabric.
Fusible woven interfacing is what I used to stabilize some of the stretchier pieces. Any light weight (non stretchy) interfacing would work for this.

NEEDLE
Use size 90/14 needle for piecing the patchwork; Jeans size 100/16 needle for quilting.

Please enjoy and happy quilting!
