Lipstick/Chapstick Pouches Sewing Tutorial

These adorable pouches are perfect to store your lip essentials from chapstick, lipstick, lip balm, etc.
Although this project is labeled as the "lipstick pouch", you may also use these pouches to keep other little items such as USB charger, headset, medicine, coins, money, anything that may fit in them.
Finished pouch measurements : approximately 4" x 2" x 1" (10 x 5 x 1 cm).

WHAT YOU NEED TO MAKE THE LIPSTICK POUCHES

FABRIC
•Unlined version : You will need thicker fabric that wouldn't fray yet easy to work with such as cork fabric, faux leather, leather 
•Lined version ; Any woven fabric will work for this such as cotton quilting, canvas, denim, etc

INTERFACING
Interfacing is only needed for the lined version if you use lightweight fabric (e.g. cotton quilting).

ZIPPER
Use nylon coil zipper size #4.5 or #5 which is 1 1/4" (32mm) wide. Your zipper should be at least 7" (18cm) long
Note : all purpose (size #3) zipper will also work in a pinch.

HARDWARE
1/2" (12mm)  swivel hook

1/8" or 1/4" basting tape to install the zipper.
