The SALI crossbody bag is a fun little bag for your everyday errands, traveling, and will also make a lovely gift. This project is inspired from the crossbody cellphone bag pattern that many of you enjoyed, but larger in size, and fancier with metal zippers, and added card slots
Features include 2x external zipper pockets 4x card pockets 1x slip pocket Zipper closure Adjustable strap
I created two design variations, the first design, Design A, using two fabric combination (cotton quilting + canvas) for the exterior; and the second design, Design B, using one uniform fabric for the whole exterior including the strap.

FABRIC
DESIGN A : For this design, you will need a combination of cotton quilting fabric and canvas fabric.
DESIGN B : Cotton quilting fabric is all you need here, about 1/3 yard for the exterior, and 1/2 yard for the lining fabric INTERFACING Fusible woven interfacing is needed to stabilize the exterior panels & strap for design B, for design A, you will need this except for the canvas fabric. Lightweight interfacing (I use pellon PLF36), to stabilize the card pockets without adding too much bulk. RFID blocking fabric (optional) ZIPPERS For the pockets you will need two 5" long zippers, and for the closure you will need 8" long zipper. I recommend metal zipper to get that "fancy" look, nonetheless nylon or or resin coil will work as well. HARDWARES D-rings 1/2" (12mm) inner measurements 2x Swivel hooks 1/2" (12mm) inner measurements 2x Adjustable strap slider 1/2" (12mm) inner measurement, if you use cotton quilting fabric for the strap (design B), if you use canvas fabric (or any thicker fabric) you will need 5/8" (16mm) inner measurement one.

Your bags are incredible and beautiful! Thank you for the detailed videos as well as the written instructions on your website! I made the lady’s wallet today. It was a trial run after not sewing for 5y so I’ve got a few rough patches on the wallet that regrettably don’t allow me to gift it. I will definitely use it though and I learned quite a bit along the way! Things are so expensive these days, I will be very happy if I can make all my Xmas gifts this year.
