Here's a fun satchel project to start your sewing adventure this year. The Sassy Satchel comes with many pockets without being too bulky, I love the detachable adjustable strap and the shoulder straps which allow you to carry this bag in different style options, and the zipper closure to ensure you get to keep your belonging securely.
All and all, this is such a versatile bag that soon will be your new BBFF (Best Bag Friend Forever). Finished bag measurements : Approx. 13" x 11" x 4" (33 x 28 x 10 cm)
Features Include :
2x external front zipper pockets 1x external back slip pocket 2x external side slip pockets Zipper closure 2x internal clear vinyl pocket 1x internal zipper pocket Adjustable Strap (detachable) Shoulder straps This post may contain affiliate links. FABRIC
For the bag exterior, you will need about 1/2 yard of cotton quilting fabric (fabric 1), and about 1/4 yard of canvas fabric (fabric 2). I use the sassy mushroom fabric (fabric 1) that I designed in my whimsical fabric collection (available at Spoonflower), and I got my canvas fabric (fabric 2) from Etsy, it's a cotton canvas duck in solid black color. For the interior of the bag, you will need about 3/4 yard of cotton quilting fabric (fabric 3). INTERFACING & STABILIZER Fusible Woven Interfacing is what you need here to stabilize some of the exterior panels, and to give the bottom of the bag some structure you will need the Fusible Foam Stabilizer. ZIPPERS (2x) 9" long metal zippers for the front exterior pockets. 14" long metal zipper for the zipper closure. 9" long nylon coil zipper for the interior zipper pocket. HARDWARES D-rings 1" (2.5cm) inner measurements 2x Swivel hooks 1" (2.5cm) inner measurements 2x Adjustable strap slider 1" (2.5mm) inner measurement OTHER Clear vinyl (gauge 8 recommended) for the interior pocket. 1" (2.5 cm) wide webbing strap about 55" (140cm) long.

I love this fabric so much, I already bought it on Spoonflower. It is super cute! I didn't know you designed fabric, too, you are a lady of many talents.
