Upcycling is not something that I do often in my sewing adventure, due to the fact that I don't own that many "stuffs" in my closet, except of handmade bags and quilts...;). Having to move around a lot since my young adulthood, minimizing my "belonging" was essential, and that mindset somehow still carries on even until now (although not as pronounced like it used to be).

Nonetheless, every now and then I found some nice clothing items in my closet, (usually my husband's), that got partially damaged, unfixable, and unwearable yet the fabric is still in good condition, and that would be the perfect time for upcycling project.

WHAT YOU NEED FOR THIS PROJECT

A pair of used denim Jeans (non-stretchy preferably)
if your jeans have a bit of stretch to it, you may still use them. Just apply light interfacing (woven/ no stretch)to help stabilize the fabric.
Cotton Quilting Fabric (for the lining/interior)
You will need about 5/8 yard of fabric (approximately), I did combine different fabrics, leftover from previous project.
9" (teeth length) metal zipper
For the front exterior pocket
All purpose zipper (at least 8" long)
For the interior zipper pocket
1 set of magnetic snap closure
(2) 1" d-rings
1" adjustable strap slider
1/8" or 1/4" basting tape
